Itinerary for the Tahoe experience July 2022.

 

DAY 1 - ARRIVE

Saturday, July 23RD

Either arrive the night before or throughout the day. Airport transfer included.

This first day we will explore Truckee, take a yoga class, relax and settle in.

DAY 2 - Hit the Trails

Sunday, July 24TH

  • Breakfast in the house.

  • Dynamic warm-up and stretch.

  • Hike: Mt Judah loop - 6-miles with spectacular views of Donner Lake.

  • Lunch and free time in Truckee. (Lunch not included).

  • Afternoon: hang out at Donner Lake, grill on the beach for dinner (Dinner provided. )

  • Group meditation at the lake.

 

Day 3: Ramp up the challenge

Monday, July 25th

  • Breakfast in the house.

  • Yoga warm-up and stretch.

  • Hike: PCT to a hundred-year-old hut in the middle of the Sierras, optional extension to the top of Castle Peak. 8 miles + (Bring Snacks!)

  • Late Afternoon lunch at Rubicon Pizza (because it just may be the best pizza you’ve had). Lunch included.

  • Afternoon: Yoga practice.

  • Evening in Truckee or the house, dinner on your own (not included).

Day 4: Now THAT’s a Lake!

TUESDAY, JULY 26TH

  • Sunrise Workout

  • Breakfast at House

  • Pack for overnight camping and head to DL Bliss State Park.

  • Hike: Rubicon Trail to Emerald Bay, sandwich lunch at the Emerald Bay boat camp (lunch provided). Swimming, generally a relaxing and amazing time as you soak in the Lake Tahoe sights. Visit the DL Bliss beach. 8 miles of hiking.

  • Backpackers dinner at camp (provided).

  • Campfire, camp stories, and Self Love Club discussion.

 

Day 5: Desolation Wilderness

Wednesday, July 27th

  • Pack up camp and get to the trailhead by 8 AM.

  • Hike: Eagle Falls to Desolation Wilderness and Velma Lakes, come back down through Bay View State Park (10 miles).

  • Swimming at Velma Lakes - snacking lunch on the trail and at the lakes. (Lunch not provided).

  • Afternoon/evening at Sugar Pine point, option to rent Kayaks Stand up paddle boards or do nothing.

  • Dinner at Sugar Pine Point (dinner provided).

Day 6: take a “zero”

Thursday, July 28th

  • “Zero” is hiker lingo for 0 miles today.

  • Morning yoga practice.

  • Breakfast at house.

  • Optional: rent a bike and ride along the Truckee River.

  • Raft down the Truckee River (approx 2 hours, super relaxing).

  • Late lunch at River Run - nachos, burgers, and cocktails (Oh my…) (Lunch included).

  • Movie night: WILD - snacks for dinner. (Dinner provided).

 

DAY 7: Experience the pct

FRIDAY, July 29th

  • Rise early, breakfast at the house, and drive to the Sierra Buttes.

  • Hike: Sierra Butte Lookout Tower and Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) trail to Highway 49. 11 miles. (Bring snacks, sun protection, and extra water!)

  • Lunch at Bassets or Sierraville (not included).

  • Group cook-out at nearby camp or at Jeff’s house (dinner provided).

 

Day 8: Wrap up and send off

Saturday, July 30th

  • Breakfast at the house

  • Morning workout.

  • Gondola to the top of Northstar, hiking at the top of the mountain (5+ miles), and lunch (all included).

  • Dinner at the house, closing meditation. (Dinner provided).

  • Departure (throughout the day.)
